Tift Farm

Tift Farm is a nature preserve in Lackawanna along Lake Erie.  The land was originally farm land, then a landfill/dump site that was rehabilitated beginning in the 1970s.

Today it’s one of our favorite fishing holes.  I can drive there in about 10 minutes, the bait shop is across the street , Lake Erie is also across the street, and Roy always catches something.

On this day a man was watching Roy catch fish, so he came over with his arsenal of poles and lures to see what Roy was using.  He also had this very cool fish scale to weigh the prize.

Roy not only caught two bull head (catfish things), he also caught a small bass, a frog, and this snapping turtle was caught on his fishing line.
