For years and years I’ve lived in pursuit of my plans and goals.  Over the last 7 years CBS Bible Study has shown me that I need to be thankful that God hasn’t rejected these plans and I’ve been able to enjoy my life.

So what’s the next plan to pray lines up with what God has in mind?  The biggest adventure yet.  This Sunday Eric is flying through Madrid, Spain to the Canary Islands to meet up with Rodney Pimentel on Azure II.  They will be joined by two more guys and sail across the Atlantic Ocean.  The trip is projected to take 19 days.  You can follow their progress on this blog.  Select the menu option for Eric’s ‘Spot’, a device that transmits his position every 10 minutes, to see his most current location.  I’ll also post any emails I receive.

We’ve known Rodney and Jane Pimentel since the mid 1990′s when they sailed s/v Azure through Mexico and across the Pacific Ocean, then we followed with two trips to Mexico on s/v Makai.  The Pimentels came home and started their family in Alameda, CA and a few years later we did the same in Orange County, CA.  All the time Rodney and Eric were both researching what the perfect family cruising boat would be.  Independently they both decided on a Leopard 47.  We were so happy for Rodney and Jane when they bought Azure II and took the family through the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. While they were in the British Virgin Islands we went out to visit and had a great time.  Last summer the Pimentel family finished their adventure and we happily decided to buy their boat.  Now we just have to pray that God is happy with our plans.
