Last night around 8pm we were watching the movie Jeremiah Johnson.  It was raining and windy outside, I looked out to make sure everything was ok (we are anchored) and I saw another boat go by us (sideways).  We got out our floodlight and noticed he was still attached to the mooring.  We shined our floodlight at the boat, but there was no one on board to alert.  The boat was unattended.  We couldn’t do much to help because our dinghy was still on the front trampoline, and it was too dark and windy for us to launch it.   I did the next best thing.  I grabbed my surfboard and paddled to the beach and went to the bar.  I started out with my headlamp on, but it was attracting too many fish, which made it hard to paddle.  Luckily the water was warm.  I made it to the bar and the bartender called the owner of the marine yard.  We waited for a while and eventually some yard hands showed up.  They got out their workboat and proceeded to pull the boat out into deeper water.  It had drifted by us and ran aground in shallow sand.  After about a half hour of pulling, the pulled it free and put it out on another mooring.  Here’s the only picture that came out (it was dark).

The next day we put the dinghy in the water.  The outboard started on the second pull!

Then we worked on the Main sail.  We had a heck of a time putting the battens in.
