Eric has been ordering boat parts, hoses, bearings, controllers, solar panels, fancy ice cube trays.  He sent out the radio for upgrades, purchased cruising guides and maintenance supplies.  I have been collecting curriculum, having the SCUBA gear serviced, sorting our library, and cleaning out the condo and cabin to prepare for moving.  We’ll be leaving both places furnished for family and friends that will be using them, but no one wants all the toys, clothes, books and trinkets we have packed into the houses, when school is over I’ll start interior painting as well.  We’ve also been digitizing all the kid’s dvds so we can take one big hard disk of videos, studying cruising guides written by seasoned Caribbean sailors, and pouring over the blogs of people out there right now.  We’re researching shipping our stuff to the boat, clearing Topaz, our much loved 4-legged family member into 14 different island countries, and converting our gas powered SCUBA air compressor to electric.

We also have to prepare the condo and cabin to be left with family and friends.  We have painting, packing, cleaning and repairs to make.  Time will fly so everyday we do a little something.
